Etherfuse Selected to Tokenized Asset Coalition

Donald ElefsonMarket AnalystSeptember 26, 2024

Today Etherfuse is proud to announce that we've been selected to join the Tokenized Asset Coalition (TAC). The TAC welcomed 21 new members, including Etherfuse, into its ranks from more than 175 applicants.

The Tokenized Asset Coalition champions the adoption of public blockchains, asset tokenization and institutional DeFi to dramatically alter the way capital is formed, invested and managed on-chain, paving the way for a more open, fair and transparent system for investors.

By joining the Tokenized Asset Coalition, we align ourselves with a shared vision for a more open, fair, and transparent financial system and proactively shaping the future of on-chain finance.

Over the years we've contributed to the tokenized asset industry in a number of ways, including developing Stablebonds, which tokenize sovereign bonds to ensure stable returns regardless of market volatility. We also launched Sovereign Coins, allowing users to mint and manage bond-backed tokens, driving yield without relying on fees. Additionally, we pioneered the tokenization of Mexican government debt, opening doors for tokenized RWAs globally.

We bring a unique perspective to the TAC based on our experience working with sovereign entities and local regulators in LATAM to tokenize government bonds. This has allowed us to focus on value capture for users, ensuring that tokenized assets support local communities and deliver consistent returns. Our work with on-chain pegging and international debt brings a fresh approach to managing yields and ensuring transparency.

As new members of the TAC, we'll be focused on advancing education and accessibility for tokenized RWAs like sovereign bonds, promoting them as secure and stable investments. We aim to increase adoption and understanding through advocacy, content creation, and active participation in industry discussions, while continuing to develop solutions that maximize returns and benefit users globally.

Brazil Scoring

Brazil scores a 2 out of 5: inflation down to 4.72%, the Real up over 7% against the US dollar, and a rate cut in June. A 77% government debt-to-GDP ratio and a persistent current account deficit hold the score back — but given the yields on offer, Brazilian paper plays well above its score.

Kaz Scoring

Kazakhstan scores a 4 out of 5: current account surpluses, government debt at just 25% of GDP, falling inflation, and a resilient currency. Only stubbornly high interest rates keep it from a perfect score.
